Is This Kind Of Fashion Commercials Coming Back?

March 15, 2019

Yay!

What kind? Kind. Commercials that make you see and appreciate the art behind the products that the commercials were made for. When fashion seems not only elegant, regardless of clothes, but fun, also. When fashion represents the art that fashion is and moves something in people. Regardless of clothes.

What to wear now?

Shop before it’s too late.

Buy more, save more.

The last two almost didn’t make it here. They did make it here, though, only for us to see the contrast better. The scales went so high in the opposite direction that Buy more, save more could not be ignored, anymore. This combination of words was weighing way too heavily. The opposite direction has just took off. I told ya. You can’t see the brilliance of the stars without the darkest of the dark. Ooh, that was dark, but then again, brilliance is so light.

The aforementioned three headlines are the subjects of the latest e-mails in my inbox. In a world where it’s only necessary to open our eyes and, boom, everything else opens up in front of them, it only feels natural to pay attention even more so to what we’re, actually, looking at while creating our own world of Oz. Seeing a form of art that feels like art (true art would be a pleonasm, just like true love would), feels not only fresh, as art always feels like, but free, as well. It’s when fashion doesn’t scratch your eyes, but moisturises them instead.

A lot of see and feel, yup. Don’t just buy more. Feel more and save yourself.

An emphasis here and there never hurt nobody.

I don’t even know whether I want or not (not the important part here) any of the things I saw in the Prada advertising campaign — those headbands, however, did some sort of tiny trick to me, I must admit — but I can not not appreciate and enjoy the passion everyone put into everything. Passion is the moisturiser and we get to choose our favourite flavour. Or discover a new one. It always depends on the intention of anyone anything anywhere (the important part here).

An emphasis here and there soothes something somewhere. No?

The ad creates a space between the brand and the consumer. Might this space be the art, in fact? That would be wonderful! That would be the free from before. The love everywhere. The space! We said something about the stars just earlier!

I know you feel me.

It’s the Prada spring/summer 2019 campaign that I’m talking about and it’s the energy that one senses first. Flowing. An energy that transcends both the pages of the Vogue Paris I’m holding in my hands, the fashion media nowadays, and metamorphoses into inspiration. It might, also, be the excitement in me talking. But it’s this energy that makes one who senses this energy in whatever this energy is in — right before falling asleep — dream sweeter that is ecstatic, no? And I don’t mean fashion. I might, though, mean style.

Intentions much?

Love. There’s only one thing in life, and that’s the continual renewal of inspiration, as Diana Vreeland said. So, double yes, infinite yes, love! Love, love, love, love, love!

Hey, this is Cristina Pavelescu wearing a music cassette sweater, decoding (life) style and writing from wherever, yet always living in OZ, a world I invite you into. To smile in front of our screens (and live one day), put any kind of questions, answer in writing (or imagination) and marvel at fashion which is, in fact, style.
