Golden Globes 2017. The Ladies. The Gowns.

January 09, 2017

“This is live from the red carpet. Making magic. Making memes. Making moments.”, says E!Entertainment’s promo every 10 minutes, as watching live from the red carpet.

So this is me awing as seen below at the glamour and talent being awarded tonight, at the 74th Golden Globe Awards.

Let’s get this party started.

Claire Foy. The cut, the posture, the easy up-do, the sequins (of course!). And her performance in “The Crown”, because sometimes talent is expressed through attitude and style. Though pictures, other times, aren’t. Claire shines, I’m telling you.

Sienna Miller. Writing and deleting, writing and deleting. Trying to find the right words. Warming up here. Here we go.

It is a Michael Kors gown, it is totally a Sienna gown. The negligent pony tail tied up with a slick black tie. The pearls along with the tiny sequins on the dress? Daring, but Sienna. And best of all: feeling good with her whole va-va-voom. It’s her, it’s not just Golden Globes.

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton and a chocker that seems made from the same tie as Sienna’s hair tie. Which not only looks so cool, but also is so cool because you can really wear this tie as a hair tie, but also as a chocker. And this is how you wear a chocker.

Ruth Negga in Louis Vuitton. “Rrr” comes to mind and “rrr” my fingers type.

Natalie Portman in Prada. Splendid Prada. Though the colour wasn’t the greatest one on her, Natalie shined so hard, that the dress was one thing and Natalie was another. Both beautiful.

Emma Stone in Valentino. She is a star and she wears stars while elbow hustling her brother during interview for E!. Nice!

Annette Bening. Everything.

Olivia Culpo in Zuhair Murad. Why so moody, you’re on the best list, girl.

Felicity Jones in Gucci

Tracee Ellis Ross. The styling and attitude. Wink.

Teresa Palmer in Armani Privé. No muss, no fuss, just elegant and smooth. Operator.

Caitriona Balf in Delpozo

Was there any dress code stating deep (the deepest one could find) v-neck? As seeing them on the red carpet, I looked for one on the internet, but couldn’t find one. It must be the birth of a trend. Ta-da!

Jessica Biel in Elie Saab

Mandy Moore in Naeem Khan

Drew Barrymore in Monique Lhuillier:

Kristin Cavallari

Emily Ratajkowski in Reem Acra

Felicity Huffman

White has been a thing for some time now and it is here to stay.

Thandie Newton

Kristen Wiig in Reem Acra

Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Gillian Anderson

Pretty much yellow going on, but this isn’t really a surprise since yellow is one of the upcoming Spring, everybody.

Viola Davis

Kerry Washington in Dolce & Gabbana

Maise Williams

Reese Witherspoon

Winona Ryder was so sweet and genuine that her Viktor & Rolf dress could have been any dress, she would have still made you want to kiss her. She has her own category. The Winona.

But then there were the sequinned and the embellished. Man, us girls love the sparkle!

Amy Adams in Tom Ford

Priyanka Chopra in Ralph Lauren

Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen

Chrissy Teigen in Marchesa

Sofia Vergara in Zuhair Murad

Suits. Trending, trending.

Evan Rachel Wood in Altuzarra. “They make a good suit!“, Evan just told E!. Well, they seem to.

Octavia Spencer

Kathryn Hahn

Jimmy, good luck, have fun and enjoy the ride!
