We Are So Dependent On The Weather In Our Sweater

It only makes sense to write something on pieces of clothes we are dying not not to wear in cold weather. Yes. The weather. Cold, warm, everybody talks about it all the time. Borrring, as my older niece would lazily say while successfully imitating the rolling eyes emoji.

The 🙄 emoji, in fact. 👋🏻🙄

Now this is something you haven’t thought about before? Well, think of the t-shirt you’re wearing underneath your sweater today hoping for it to see the sunlight. Hoping for your eyes to see the sun and then for the sun to let your sweater come off. So maybe the t-shirt is going to stuck on you regardless of the weather. Yes.

But then there’s a pastel blue jacket (below) or a floral flowing dress (above) or a sort of a combination (all throughout) that you definitely can not wear in winter and are desperately trying not to let go of.

Or is it just me?

When you feel like Argh, I didn’t get the chance to wear this the whole summer! Or is it just me?

Who cares, the sun is going to shine anyway one day and everybody is going to do whatever it is everybody wants to. Wow, I know. The truth is we all have all sort of weird little things going on in our heads and sometimes letting it just go feels better than not even thinking about it. Now this would be borrring, Natasha. The little things make our everyday life.

The line between the little and the great things is so thin that it is almost invisible sometimes.

One heaven of a line. Just as the line between the warm and the cold weather. The weather again, Natasha!

The line between a complete stranger and anything but a stranger. Don’t what me. Or yourself.

And wear that dress. That shirt. You could stop wearing those shorts, nevertheless. Or wear them. Be a fucking Frankenstein if you feel like it. Just embrace it. Sink in it. Whatever it is, just sink in it.

A very good friend once told me on being sad to just sink in it completely and then you’ll know you went all the way. And then the sun comes out. It always does. And then you can totally sink in it, too.

It always rains before the sun comes out, Natasha.

Duh.

Rain can be nice, though, Natasha.

Ok.

To be honest, I keep beach dresses among sweaters just in case. Don’t you?

PS: And we haven’t even started on the umbrella ella ella.

Clothes That Make Your Work Fun. What?

When you do what you love, you must be a better person than when you do what you don’t. On one hand. When you do what you love and it also happens to be what lets you wear whatever it is that you feel like wearing, then it’s on the other hand. Then you have two hands to high-five at the same time. It is even more interesting to come to the conclusion that, in fact, the two hands are high-fiving themselves as the two can not exist one after the another.

Unless you’re a doctor and you have to dress in the white uniform and you either don’t care at all about clothes and accessories or you wear the white uniform and you save people. Case in which you have the superpower to wear your underwear in the streets if you feel like wearing underwear in the streets and flaunt your aura like you just don’t care.

Or, you know, a t-shirt, a classic pair of jeans and sneakers or something.

Unless you’re Superman. Or Alicia Vikander.

So there’s the thing that you’re doing that you love all of the time and there’re the clothes you’re sharing the joy with all of the time. Or something. Because clothes are never just clothes if they are on you to make you feel like the better version of yourself.

When you wear what you love, you must be a better person.

When you’re with the one that you love in a kissing relationship or in a fun friendship or in a professional link, you must be a better person.

When you eat something you love (oh, man, just think of that fresh made bread-butter-pesto-prosciutto-mozzarella-tomatoes snack, or watermelon, or cheeseburger, or think fast of something super juicy for you to enjoy right now) (***what is it?***), you must be a better person.

When you see something for the first time and your eyes turn into cherries, you must be a better person.

I was leaving home for a meeting the other days, throwing on myself a white t-shirt, my blue mom’s jeans, the sandals from above, the perfume that makes me smile for no reason and rushed out the door. I found the perfect parking spot (the day became half nice already) and the beautiful summer morning light and air was there and upon running to the meeting, I thought to myself: man, I’m so lucky to be able to wear what I love wearing anyway anywhere to do the work I – without even thinking – have always dreamt of doing and cultivated unconditionally for.

In fact, the dream of doing all the stuff that I’m doing today must have involved the style I’ve always felt like myself in the most. I don’t know who chose who. I feel like my world ***OZ*** has this super inter connected things going on.

The surroundings I’m always aware of, the people around me and the mental notes I’m constantly taking. Observing. Appreciating. Admiring.

Loving.

High-fiving.

  1. Loose the hat, put on some glittery shoes and you’re ready for the party tonight. 2. Thank God for these sneakers trend for they will take you anywhere, anytime. They make a dress look all relaxed, a tuxedo fun, a pair of classic jeans and messy hair and tee Californian, shorts dressed.
    3. A tee under a short dress covers you. Literally. A pony tail uncovers. Whatever that is supposed to mean.4. A fun t-shirt might make you goof all day. That is if you like Goofy, but maybe you like Droopy. I like Droopy better, yet the Goofy in me never lets me down.5. When the light is right, everyone seems right. 6. You’ve got to have the right essentials, though, to feel right. Or like yourself. 7. Black mom jeans, black sandals and a special kind of top will make the simple aforementioned pieces look not so simple anymore.8. Hello!

"To Enthuse" Has a Whole Lot of Beautiful Synonyms

Every fashion enthusiast knows just how enthusiastic a fashion enthusiast can get at the sight of the most simple, yet close to perfection piece of clothing. Takes it to the changing room or finally gets it delivered at home post shopping online and puts it on.

“Perfection” in the “close to perfection” is the moment when the piece falls naturally on the fashion enthusiast’s body and completes the circle of enthusiasm.

to enthuse
verb
express eager enjoyment, interest, or approval regarding something.
synonyms: rave, be enthusiastic, gush, wax lyrical, bubble over, effervesce, be effusive, rhapsodise, go into raptures; praise to the skies, heap praise on, make much of, throw bouquets at, eulogise, extol, acclaim; informal go wild/mad/crazy, get all worked up, go over the top.

Stars shine bright like diamonds in the sky in full sunny day, violins sing in the most beautiful projected-in-our-minds garden, drums aligned along the mirror announce the victory, a silver tray carrying champagne for the enthusiast and the piece of clothing magically makes its way on Aladdin’s carpet.

Chin-chin!

It might be an item you found at a flea market, it might be by a designer, it doesn’t matter. The fabric is already hugging the body and the eyes just can’t abstain and not look at the body.

It’s the most simple things. Always. The most simple pair of jeans you have been looking for since forever. The most common t-shirt, yet so oh-so soft, in the hue of black or red you’ve been craving for for moths. The shoes that seemed to have been waiting for you only the moment your energies locked.

It’s these kind of things that turn yourself into a fashion enthusiast. When clothes are so much more than clothes. When it is not just about the eagerness of getting new items and putting on a show, but it is more about the show you throw for yourself and you suddenly feel like dancing.

Inside out.

That’s when you know it’s real. The chemistry. The dance floor. The passion for fashion.

The enthuuuse.

And an enthusiast knows there’s always room for va-va-voom, but it is sometimes just about the “va”, or the “va”, or the “voom”. Alone. Simple. Perfect.

You deeply breathe in and then breathe out and when the breath comes out in the form of a sparkling fountain, the image above is what you – the fashion enthusiast – create.

Some kind of chemical formula.

Like H2O.

A Denim Skirt A Girl

A denim skirt gets me straight to primary school. That is when I made an obsession for it, obsession that has been securely locked up somewhere in a box together with the books and essays of the time, box I didn’t think of opening anytime soon. (more…)

Sharing is like bff w caring

ozinparis-sharing

Make yourself a friend like this (be any of these two above you like best and make the other “the better half”, the bff) or you just do you and let your bff be your bff, meet up and see how you’d dressed up. See if you can both stand in the same window. Why? It makes clothes have fun and your relationship stronger.

I’m kidding.

Yet, sharing makes everything better. And fun makes everything best! Finds us the bffs we’ve always dreamt of. So go with the flow, wear these stuff the two of you together at the same time, almost hold hands, look straight into each other’s eyes, listen, pay attention, be as present as you can, eat each other if possible, because it simply is (and looks) too cool!

This is an Ig print screen @stylesightworldwide. And the tagging doesn’t stop here ’cause I’ve been stalking, I’ve been stalking. It goes way back to @voguebrasil and to @whatastreet. And the “besties” are @ninoeliava and @ankatsitsishvili.

Man! This is how my traffic-red-lights time or the waiting-for-the-water-to-boil-for-tea time passes.

And this could mean a lot.

ozinparis-tea

I am letting it cool as we speak, so…

They are both wearing jeans and jeans are there just to complement the va-va-voom of both outfits. Yet again and again. I can not imagine life without jeans. Or tea. Or bffs.

And this is how jeans literally let you be the va-va-voom. They are just there to support you. Your game. Your combinations. Your creativity. Your parties. Your everything. Is that too much to say? I don’t think so.

They are literally our bffs without mouths.

If only jeans could talk.

If George Michael Has Faith, We Should Have It, Too.

Have you ever asked yourself what music could you listen to day and night, not like on and on again, but – let’s say – like if I would wake you up on a Monday night at 3 a.m. and put some music for you and you wouldn’t – let’s say – throw the pillow at me?

You would, most probably, anyway, but still. What would it be?

I’ve been asking myself this for some time now just to see if the answer would be the same. And it is. George Michael all the way.

Ha!

What is the first image of him that comes to mind? Your mind. Fast, fast, fast. First!

Exactly!

The cross earring, the biker jacket and that hair. Or would you have said just “the cross earring”? No, of course not. The image flashed a couple of seconds ago and it was it all. It was Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou a.k.a. George Michael, born in London to a Greek father and an English mother.

Not to mention those aviators and that look! Hey, but that’s just me and “Father figure” is one of my all time favourite songs. Flamenco dancing emoji.

Iconic.

He was so into singing that he didn’t care about what he wore – or at least he pretended not to – and kept on wearing the same style (!) which, eventually, turned into iconic. It was his music first! It was him first! Yet, that kind of style can only be pulled off by someone who enjoys fashion. And George does for sure. He is the only one to have had 5 supermodels in one video alone and take the day of the shooting off. That’s right. ⬇️

Freedom“! Directed by David Fincher.

He had to show up in “Too funky” (directed by Thierry Mugler), though, just to show to the world what Beyonce’s bodysuit will look like twenty years later.

Faith” not only became one of his greatest hits, but also Giorgios witnessed the birth of the 501, God bless that day!

The next song is now playing in my background and it is the proof that style must be sustained by something else. A whole lot of “else”. “One more try“.

But then there he is in an all leather. “Fast love“.

And in an all white. “A different corner“.

No, you are “Amazing“, George!

And you sang with Whitney and that is that!

Few men…

No muss, no fuss

Hey, so I heard it’s getting chillier. Or that Autumn is as anxious to get into town as I am when going to the beach these days. Hip-hip-hurays! You know the drill: hotel breakfast, beach, coffee, lunch, beach again, shower and this, before dinner, that is, with all the people smelling of baby oils and perfumes (the post beach drill).

Don’t you miss this kind of outfits? In fact, can’t wait to come back and wear them. Nope, that’s a lie. I do not wait to come back. But I do long for this outfit. No muss, no fuss.

When in doubt, always wear this and you are guaranteed to be the s*it. The whatever (you know it: whatever-my-ass) s*it. A simple white (nicely cut, good fabric, loose enough) t-shirt, the classic jeans (some vintage found Levi’s), a beautiful trench (this dark blue one is so chic!) and your personal note of the scarf. To follow the “no muss, no fuss” routine, you should choose a cool coloured scarf, an almost no colour scarf, an almost invisible scarf.

The burgundy nails and your loose, out of bed hair are there to crisp the whole thing up.

Luggage affair

“I could almost not go somewhere because of the luggage I have to pack”. Said no one ever. Well, someone actually did tell this. My mom. And I am all over her and dad’s clothes packing up the perfect baggage for holidays. Outfits and all. And my mom’s so happy.

Well, here I am fronting my own trip. Snowboard trip. Clothes and all.
