1st of January should be declared the hangover day (if one hasn’t already). A good kind of hangover that makes you loosen up your mind and laugh at every joke while wearing the most hugging-your-body clothes ever can turn the first day of the year into a day out of this planet and onto one where people don’t go to work or run for food (restaurants and groceries are closed), everyone just chills, isn’t anxious about what’s next and is cool thanks to the undone hairstyle that no one seems to care about.
Especially when the New Year’s party was great and you (I :D) got to dance all night with the goofiest friends you (I :D) adore in a place who has it all: food, club, theatre and an actors’ cabin.
Great you-couldn’t-fall-asleep-in-the-morning great? 😀
And then felt like out of this planet.
Right on time for the night of the 1st to couch potato alongside the Christmas tree and watch some new movies. New Year. New vibes. “Sing Street” is not just a great way back to this very weird, but beautiful world we’re living in, where art is one of the best ways to escape the sometimes cruel reality, but also a way for us all to make a better world. About this, particularly, is this Golden Globes‘ (coming up in ***drums*** a week from now) nominee for best picture. About making our own universe – at first – one of peace and love (literally) and then to make the world a better place. About unconditional love.
The movie is as honest as it can be.
From beliefs to relationships, to humour, to friendships, to dreams, to passions, to work, to human interactions, to “man in the mirror”, to fashion. “Sing Street” is about the ’80s style (fashion and charisma) which is set to become 2017’s biggest hit.
However, it is said that it is not the years that should be better or happier, but the people. Therefore, let’s wish for each other to be kinder, to love more, to get to know ourselves in order to be honest with us and then with the world.
Do more of what we enjoy doing and wear the ’80s.
But then 2nd of January came and it was on Monday. Today feels like a good day to start over. Any day feels so.
Could so. No?
